The schedule for each day will be consistent for all children. The schedule presented here is a guideline approached and may vary according the mood of the children and if there is a field trip planned for that day.
ACTIVITIES
Babies through age 12 months will be on an "on demand" schedule. Meaning their individual eating/sleeping/waking periods will be honored since every baby is different. As they near their first birthday, they will slowly transition into the daily schedule.
During the week days, Lil' Sprouts will strive to have the same basic schedule everyday.
For Evening/Overnight/Weekend care:
I spend a great deal of time keeping my children active in activities. Some times of the year are slower than others. Dinner and sleep times always stay the same in the same time frame, however schedules and activities do not. Children in my care may go along while I attend and take my children to their activities. I will strive to turn this into learning/playing times for the children in my care.
For example, if we are attending a girl/boy scout meeting, I will bring along some toys, books, etc and/or give the child something to do that will allow him/her to feel apart of the rest of the "big kids".If we are attending a sporting event, such a youth football or baseball game, I will also talk with/play that sport (on the sidelines) with the child to go along with what they are seeing. Sometimes we attend Home Depot/Lowes kids' workshops, if old enough, the child(ren) in my care will also be able to make and take home a project.
My schedule will be reviewed and discussed with those families that it effects. While my evenings/weekends vary, I usually know at least a 1-2 weeks ahead of what it will be. If you have any concerns/questions about schedules, I will do my best to help work something suitable for all parties involved.
Parents will be notified of at least one week in advance and/or at the time of childcare is inquired for that particular time. A signed permission form will be required for every child that will be transported. It will detail times, places, etc of where we will be going and emergency numbers on the children. My cell phone number will be provided to the parents of the children. There will be 2 copies, one for the Lil Sprouts and one for the parent (s).
MENUS
When creating menus/snacks, I will take into consideration what your child prefers to eat while introducing new foods he/she may not be familiar with.
All menus will be created with the FDA's food pyramid guidelines for young children. The planned menus will be posted up to 2 weeks, in advance. If there is meal/snack that you would prefer your child not to eat, you are welcome to bring a replacement. Please be aware, that rates will not be reduced for this. If the child has a valid Dr's note on what he/she can't have, I will be happy to work with your child.
